What?: The Absolute Monarchy of France under the Bourbon Family (King Louis XVI and his predecessors)

When?: 1500’s - 1789King Louis meeting with members of the Second Estate
Who?: King Louis (all of them, some King Henry's too)
Why?: Allowed the King to centralize his power as Absolute Monarch of France
How?: The Kings ruled with the help of the first two estates (The Clergy and the nobles) who collected taxes from the common people (or Third Estate) . Together these too groups and the King wielded almost unlimited power at the expense of the Third Estates (the common people)
